Doing my best is the only option!
A beautiful sunny afternoon at SOS Children’s Village to meet and work with Class 10 and 12 students who were raised in homes with a foster mother. They got love, care and support from her but what was missing was the guidance that they needed for exams. A lot depended on the performance in the exams as they wanted to change the course of their lives and their future.
Games, interactive sessions, role plays…they responded with clarity and gusto. Their body language had changed from anxiety to confidence and a new found vigour that did not focus on just the outcome but also preparation for the exams with a calm and relaxed mind. Doing their best seemed the best option and focusing on what’s on hand became their best ally. The techniques taught were to manage their State of Mind which when favorable can aid during any challenging situation leading to a favorable outcome.
Chuckles and screams followed the day’s session and I left feeling satisfied and wondered how their lives would pan out with all this enthusiasm and briskness towards challenges.
