Communication just got easier!
A room filled with Degree college students who have been supported Nisvartha Foundation, an NGO that pushes students from Tier 2 cities towards their goals in the big city. These students equipped with great academic skills but lacked effective communication due to the fact of English being their second language at the school level that deterred them from clearing interviews or having useful conversations with their peers.
The session focused on breaking barriers in terms of fears associated with speaking skills for which their self-talk needed to undergo a change. The goal was to crack the interviews by practising English speaking daily so that it becomes just another language to master. This aim was met with a lot of apprehension that then turned into enthusiasm when the students understood that to learn something new, they simply had to unlearn unhealthy ways of thinking and adopt a strategy that worked towards them achieving their goal of effective communication.
